What is the ECCE scheme?
The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme provides early childhood care and education for children of preschool age. Every child is entitled to two full academic years on the ECCE scheme for three hours a day, five days a week, 38 weeks of the year. Primary carers can contact their local Childcare Committee with any questions they have about the ECCE scheme.
What is Síolta?
Síolta is designed to define, assess and support the improvement of all aspects of practice in early childhood care and education (ECCE) settings where children aged birth to six years are present. It is with this framework, that The Montessori Story promote continuous quality improvement and planning at our childcare Kells and Navan centres.
What is Aistear?
Aistear is the early childhood curriculum framework for all children from birth to 6 years in Ireland. The framework uses four interconnected themes to describe children's learning and development: Well-being; Identity and Belonging; Communicating; and Exploring and Thinking.
