At The Montessori Story, we believe early childhood is not just the beginning of education, it’s the foundation for a lifetime of learning, curiosity, and confidence.
Since opening our doors in 2002, we’ve proudly supported families across Meath through our unique blend of Montessori and playschool approaches. With centres in Navan and Kells, we’ve created safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where every child is recognised as a unique individual with their own rhythm, strengths, and spark.
We understand that choosing a preschool is a big decision. That’s why we’re sharing a closer look at our service, what we offer, and what makes each of our locations so special.
Our Service at a Glance
We cater for children aged 2½ to 6 years, offering both part-time and full-time places across 1–5 days per week. Toilet training is not required to attend.
We run from September to June (38 weeks), with Easter, Summer, and Halloween Camps available subject to demand. Our curriculum aligns with the ECCE scheme, meaning eligible families can access a free preschool year.

24 Balrath Woods, Mullingar Road, Kells, Co.Meath
Both are Tusla-registered, fully insured, and purpose-built
Daily Sessions:
Morning Session: 09:00–12:00
Afternoon Session: 12:30–15:30 (subject to demand)
Early Drop-Off: From 08:45 (optional, subject to demand)
Extended Session: 12:00–12:30 (optional, subject to demand)

Navan: A Warm, Established Setting
Our Navan centre is where it all began. Purpose-built and welcoming, it’s full of light, warmth, and thoughtful spaces designed for creativity, calm, and connection. Inside, you’ll find cosy corners, open activity areas, and a homely atmosphere that helps children feel settled and secure.
Outdoors, there’s plenty of room for movement and discovery, from imaginative play to nature-based learning. Whether it’s a quiet story in the corner or water play in the sun, our Navan children grow in an environment that’s full of possibilities.
Kells: A Colourful, Child-Centred Space
In our Kells setting, the same care and attention is poured into every detail. Bright, welcoming, and filled with opportunity, Kells is a space where curiosity is encouraged and children are supported to explore at their own pace.
Our outdoor area invites daily movement, while inside, children are met with activities and materials that spark independence, learning, and joy. The team in Kells is known for their warmth, creativity, and dedication, always ready to listen, guide, and encourage each child’s development.
